Job Description

Our Substation group is currently looking to add a Journeyperson Electrician to our growing team.

Reporting to the Substation Construction Foreman, the role of Substation Construction Electrician is to perform site construction activities individually or with small, dedicated workgroups. In this role the Journeymen Electrician is expected to Lead and participate in the construction of medium and high voltage electrical systems within a substation while ensuring project construction is executed effectively and safely.

Please Note: This is a field-based position working an 8 day on / 6 day off rotation that can be based from Winnipeg, MB or Dryden, ON. LOA is provided. There may be opportunity initially for some longer shifts.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead and participate in the construction of medium and high voltage electrical systems
  • Perform substation steel erection, cable tray building, and cable trench, bus, HV equipment...
