Role Details

The Engineering – Project department of Tarkwa Gold Mine seeks to employ an experienced individual to fill a Junior Cost Accountant position on a two-year fixed term contract through a third-party contractor.

Reporting to the Unit Manager – Engineering Projects, the successful candidate will manage cost and apply variance analysis and budgetary control principles in managing the HME Infrastructure relocation Project cost to ensure spend is within budget limits.


About the role:

  • Prepare and coordinate all project budgets and the master budget for the Tarkwa Mine Infrastructure Relocation Project.

  • Interpret contractual clauses/rates in contracts and apply them in reviewing bills of quantities and related invoices.

  • Apply relevant tax laws in treatment of various business transactions.

  • Ensure accurate and timely reconciliation of all projects cost.
