Junior Geotechnical Engineer

Position Overview

AECOM is seeking an experienced Junior Geotechnical Engineer to work in our Lima, Peru office.

Responsibilities

• Assist in bearing capacity, slope stability analysis, settlement and seepage assessment using geotechnical specialized software (e.g., GeoStudio, SLIDE, PLAXIS).
• Organize, review, and prepare information of soil tests for analysis and processing.
• Prepare stratigraphic profiles, geotechnical sections, and instrumentation plans in programs such as AutoCAD.
• Conduct high-level communication and collaboration with the full design team.
• Draft geotechnical reports and technical documents under the guidance of a senior specialist.
• Develop projects that require ingenuity and creativity.
• Prepare designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and working drawings.
