Job description:
Purpose of the Job
The Laboratory Assistant is responsible for supporting safe, accurate, and efficient laboratory operations through the collection, handling, and preparation of samples for analysis. The role ensures adherence to safety, health, environmental, and quality standards, including support of the ISO 17025 Quality Management System. The Laboratory Assistant plays a key role in maintaining high standards of housekeeping, sample integrity, equipment readiness, and waste management to enable seamless laboratory analysis and operational reliability.
Roles and Responsibilities
Perform analysis on raw materials, in process samples and final products
Maintain a high standard of Quality and Safety when handling samples and performing housekeeping duties.
Testing of primary explosives
Analysing samples on Microscope
Analysing/Testing samples of BAM Friction tester
Conduct different tests within the Laboratory
