Junior Mechanical Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our engineering team specialising in the design and development of armoured and protected vehicle platforms . You will be responsible for innovating robust mechanical systems, detailed CAD modelling, structural design, and supporting prototype development through testing and validation to meet defence industry standards. Key Responsibilities Lead the design and development of mechanical systems and structural components for armoured vehicles, including chassis, suspension, drivetrain, and integrated armour solutions. Create and maintain detailed 3D CAD models and 2D manufacturing drawings using tools such as SolidWorks, CATIA, Creo, or Inventor. Perform mechanical calculations (strength, fatigue, vibration, optimization) and design analysis to ensure performance and compliance.
