Job Description

The LAB University of Applied Sciences is seeking a curious and motivated junior researcher (doctoral student) in sustainable material science. The position is part of the Biomaterials research group at the LAB University of Applied Sciences and includes doctoral studies at LUT University.

As a junior researcher, you will study the implementation of electrospinning and hydrogel processing techniques for transformation of biobased polymers in flexible electronic devices.

Research focus

The work will include the preparation of electrically conductive semi-fluid polymeric gels and processing them into nanofibrous mats by means of electrospinning and 3-D porous hydrogels. Different material testing techniques such as rheological testing of biopolymer solutions, mechanical testing of electrically conductive materials, electrochemical testing, electrical impedance spectroscopy, Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy, BET and BJH analyses, and scanning ...
