Junior Vegetation Ecologist

Your Opportunity

Stantec is seeking a highly motivated, personable Junior Vegetation Ecologist for a wide variety of projects within various development sectors such as oil and gas, mining, and transportation within the vegetation ecology and wetland disciplines. You will apply your expertise to collect field data, analyze and interpret results, develop assessments, and write reports. You will be a key member of the Prairies and Territories Ecosystem team and support a variety of exciting local and national projects. The position will be based in one of our Manitoba or Saskatchewan offices (Winnipeg, Regina, Saskatoon).

Your Key Responsibilities

• Undertake wetland assessments and biological inventories in accordance with provincial species detection protocols (e.g., vascular plant)
• Work on a variety of natural resource planning projects, including natural area inventories and biophysical assessments
