Job Description

Are you someone who loves diving into information, analysing complex issues, and turning insights into clear, meaningful advice? We’re looking for a Kaitohutohu Rangahau, Research Advisor to support Tākuta Ferris MP with high quality research, analysis, and briefing support grounded in service to whānau, whānui across Te Tai Tonga and Aotearoa.

This role has real impact — your work will help shape advice, inform decision making, and contribute to policy discussions and advocacy that support whānau, hapū, iwi, and communities throughout Te Tai Tonga and Aotearoa.

Research & Analysis

  • Gather and analyse information from legislation, academic research, media, submissions, and the Parliamentary Library.
  • Summarise complex material into clear, concise briefings for the MP and the electorate.
  • Prepare research for speeches, public events, stakeholder meetings, and social media responses.
