POSITION SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Director of Children & Families, the Kiipewii’Chego Advocate will coordinate wraparound support for expectant mothers and families who are navigating healthcare and child welfare systems. The Kiipewii’Chego Advocate will work with First Nations families to help address concerns and meet their identified goals.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Attending weekly case conference and receiving client files during case conferences.
- Complete the intake process for new clients.
- Work in collaboration with the Perinatal Support Worker to strengthen birth and family sovereignty.
- Establish effective working relationships with collaterals and parents/caregivers to support the birth plan/the reunification process.
- Empower families by connecting them to Elders and Knowledge Keepers to strengthen their cultural id...
