KITCHEN ASSISTANT/CUTTER
Position Summary:
The Kitchen Assistant / Cutter is responsible for assisting in food preparation by cleaning, cutting, and portioning ingredients according to the restaurant's standards. The role ensures that all ingredients are properly prepared and ready for cooking while maintaining cleanliness, safety, and organization in the kitchen area.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepare and cut meat, poultry, seafood, fruits, and vegetables according to required sizes and portions.
Assist chefs and cooks in daily food preparation activities.
Ensure proper handling, storage, and labeling of raw and prepared ingredients.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in workstations, cutting tools, and kitchen equipment.
Monitor ingredient quality and report any spoiled or expired items to the supervisor.
Dispose of kitchen waste properly and maintain orderly storage areas.
