Kitchen Steward

Job Summary:

The Kitchen Steward is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of the kitchen and its equipment. The role ensures that all kitchen utensils, dishes, cooking tools, and work areas are properly cleaned and maintained to support efficient kitchen operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean and sanitize all kitchen equipment, utensils, pots, and pans.
• Wash dishes, glasses, silverware, and other service items in accordance with sanitation standards.
• Maintain cleanliness of floors, walls, and all kitchen work areas.
• Properly handle and dispose of garbage and recycling according to company and local regulations.
• Assist in receiving, unpacking, and storing food supplies and kitchen items.
• Ensure that cleaning supplies are well-stocked and stored safely.
• Report any maintenance or safety issues to the Kitchen Supervisor immediately.
