Knit or Crochet Afghans Volunteer – Wellwood Cancer Resource Centre

Support Wellwood's Afghan Program by knitting or crocheting squares or a full afghan for cancer patients.

Responsibilities

Volunteer to knit or crochet squares or a full afghan for patients receiving treatment at the Juravinski Cancer Centre and other facilities.

• Knitted square: cast on 33 stitches (approx. 6.5) using #7 (4.5 mm) needles, #4 weight or worsted yarn.
• Crochet square: 6.5 x 6.5 using preferred #4 weight or worsted yarn.
• Full afghan dimensions: 36 x 48 or 48 x 60.
