Job Description
Our Client, a Clinical Laboratory company, is looking for a Lab Assistant I for their Calabasas Hills, CA location. Responsibilities:
+ Performs non-technical procedures in support of the testing process from initial set up of supplies to disposal of waste
+ Handles serum, whole blood, and plasma samples.
+ Handles proper disposal of radioactive and biohazard waste.
+ Performs sample management tasks such as volumization, building samples into load lists, labeling and numbering of sample tubes.
+ Assists in locating missing samples and pulling specimens from freezer storage locations.
+ Perform daily and weekly preventive maintenance (PM) on Hamilton instruments.
+ Adheres to the standard operating procedures and safety requirements of Esoterix, CLIA, CAP and other regulatory bodies.
+ Documents all quality assurance activities as necessary including preventative maintenance logs, instrument function c...
