Lab Assistant

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Laboratory Assistant to join our team at the Construction Research Institute of Malaysia in Kuala Lumpur. This is a contract position that will play a crucial role in supporting our civil and structural engineering research activities.

What you'll be doing

• Provide effective and efficient general lab works
• Provide essential support to other lab staff in the production of lab testing equipment and experiments
• Undertake basic machining skills
• Assist in the assembly and construction of testing rigs for structural testing including working in a wide variety of engineering materials
• Assist in stripping down the test rigs and equipments and dispose of large completed test specimens
• To keep the lab working area and the surrounding clean and tidy
