Laboratory Processing Manager

37.5 Hours per week.  One year fixed term contract. Monday to Friday.  08:00-16:00. 

Purpose of the post: 

Managing all operations of the water laboratory, ensuring that the laboratory remains accredited to ISO 17025, extend the scope of accreditation, and grow & develop the laboratory business.

• Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the laboratory.
• Ensure the laboratory maintains and develops its ISO 17025 accreditation standards.
• Manage laboratory Staff, including recruitment, training, performance management and development. 
• Plan, coordinate and oversee laboratory projects projects to ensure they are delivered on time and to a high standard.
• Monitor laboratory workload, resources and staffing levels to meet customer deadlines.
• Manage budgets, costs and profitability of laboratory activities.
