Job Description
The laboratory scientist 1 performs work to support the Edmonton Fecal Microbiota Transplantation Program. This involves laboratory processes including donor screening, product manufacturing, research and development, test method implementation and change, clinical trials and routine testing. Primary role of lab scientist will be for the collection, storage, testing, maintenance and manufacturing of FMT samples, donation and aliquots. Liaison and coordination with donors regarding samples/donations forms part of the workflow. Responsibilities include coordinating with donors for screening and product manufacturing, conducting experiments, carrying out analyses, equipment operation and providing technical support to physicians, staff and patients.
