Laboratory Technician

About The Position
The Laboratory Technician will be based in
ALS Analysis and Inspection - Durban
and will report to the Quality Coordinator. The Laboratory Technician (Microbiology) will ensure analysis of accurate results using resources available within a stipulated turnaround time.

The Position Will Be Responsible For

• Perform routine analytical tasks and troubleshooting on laboratory instrumentation and apparatus.
• To perform general and routine microbiological analyses according to standard procedures.
• Preparation of calibration, QC solutions and other laboratory reagents as per procedure
• Ensure that all reagents used are appropriately prepared, tested and verified before use.
• To carry out calibration / verification checks on apparatus before use.
• Ensure that analyses are conducted according to documented procedures and quality control measure are applied.
