Laboratory Technician

Overview of Responsibilities:


- Respect laboratory’s internal rules and regulations.

- Perform sample collection and carry out collection outside the lab when
necessary.

- Clean laboratory workbenches and equipment.

- Perform daily controls to ensure the equipment is working properly, before

running the patient’s samples.

- Receive, label, prepare and process samples, then safely store them.

- Analyze, interpret, and evaluate data.

- Observe test results and attempt to draw conclusions based on the findings.

- Transfer logging test data into the patient’s medical record.

- Assist in ordering laboratory supplies.

- Take part in the “Continuing Education” sessions and attend conferences,
projects, and trainings when possible.

- Perform laboratory tasks following specified policies and procedures.
