Laboratory Technician

Key Responsibilities

• Test raw materials (aggregates, cement, admixtures, water) to ensure they meet specifications.
• Perform fresh concrete tests (e.g., slump, unit weight, air content) to check consistency and workability.
• Prepare, cure, and test hardened concrete specimens (compressive strength, etc.).
• Calibrate, clean, and maintain laboratory equipment and tools.
• Document and report test results; maintain accurate QC logs.
• Coordinate with plant operations / batching team to ensure mix designs are properly followed and to adjust when test results show deviations.
• Ensure lab safety, cleanliness, and compliance with company and regulatory QC standards.

Minimum Qualifications

• Graduate of Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering Technology, or related technical course; or laboratory / materials testing certification.
