Laboratory Technician (Midhurst)

Responsibilities

A strong attention to detail and safety‑first mentality will be critical when conducting tests of asphalt mixes as all discrepancies must be reported. It is important all equipment is properly calibrated to ensure accurate results; you won’t want to go back to the field for repetitive testing. Quality over everything, you will have the opportunity to participate in activities related to the quality management and controls.

Qualifications

• 1 year experience in Quality Control within the road or civil construction industry: Asphalt, granular sampling and testing
• Experience with nuclear gauge
• Concrete testing an asset
• Working towards an undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering an asset
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Power Point, SharePoint, MS Outlook
