Laboratory Technologist I

The Cellular Therapy Laboratory is located at the Arthur J.E. Child Comprehensive Cancer Centre. CTL is the sole provider of life saving cellular therapy and transplant products for both adults and children treated by the Alberta Blood and Marrow Transplant Program. The majority of work is accomplished M-F dayshift. They are a FACT accredited laboratory and perform many clinical trials for cutting edge treatments for diseases. As a member of CTL, you will work within a dedicated team that processes, manufactures, modifies, and prepares various sources of stem cells for infusion into patients. These processes include cryopreservation and long-term storage of a patient's own cells for autologous transplant, preparation of products from matched related and unrelated donors, graft modification to make the best products for the patient and remove harmful cells via CD34 Enrichment and T Cell Receptor alpha beta CD19 depletion, and manufacturing of cells to fight specific viruses and ca...
