Responsibilities

The Northern Lights Regional Health Centre’s laboratory is a 24/7 operation that provides essential laboratory services, offering the opportunity to be part of a dynamic, multi-disciplinary environment that enables you to work to your full scope of practice. The successful candidate will perform a variety of routine and specialized Anatomical Pathology and Microbiology procedures, including handling and preparing tissue for processing, embedding, microtomy, and staining procedures, performing frozen section procedures, grossing and routine equipment maintenance, troubleshooting various laboratory instruments, and quality control activities. Responsibilities also include microbiology laboratory‑based tasks such as sample preparation, testing, measuring, recording, and analyzing results in human biological clinical sciences.
