Laboratory Technologist I

The Medical Laboratory Technologist I is a working level position utilizing technical skills and judgment performing a diverse range of diagnostic procedures within the Clinical Chemistry, Hematology, Cardiology and Specimen Procurement departments, within the scope of practice of an MLT. Applicants must be able to work independently and perform all aspects within the scope of practice of an MLT from sample collection to testing/resulting in all of the above-mentioned disciplines. Lacombe Hospital is an acute care hospital with a busy emergency department as well as acute care, day surgeries, restorative care, palliative and long‑term care departments providing service for the Community and surrounding area. The successful applicant will be required to present to the hospital for callback within 30 minutes. This vacancy may be eligible for the Recruitment Incentive.
