Laborist

**Job Summary and Responsibilities**

CHI Saint Joseph Medical Group is searching for Full- or Part-Time In-House Laborists to join our team at Saint Joseph East Women's Hospital in Lexington. Our Community Hospital is well equipped with 2 OB ED beds, 12 L&D/AP rooms, 3 L&D ORs, Maternal-Fetal Medicine, a Level III NICU, and Dedicated In-House OB Anesthesia. Currently, the Laborist Program supports 15 delivering providers from 5 local practices. Our hospital performs an average of 140 deliveries per month, though most are covered by our community providers, with only about 5% covered by the Laborist. Though we are able to provide excellent care for most patients, appropriate cases such as critical maternal co-morbidities, fetal anomalies, and extreme prematurity are transferred to a higher level-of-care.
