Lands and Resources Director Role

Drive sustainable resource management as the Director of Lands and Resources for Neskonlith Indian Band in Chase, BC. This permanent position emphasizes leadership in forestry, fisheries management, and cultural initiatives.
You will report directly to the Band Administrator and be responsible for integrating traditional ecological knowledge within project planning and implementation. Leading the Natural Resources Department, the Director will also oversee staff and manage funding sources for various initiatives across Neskonlith territory.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide oversight of natural resource programs and initiatives
• Manage and support the development of departmental structures
• Coordinate environmental stewardship and fire mitigation plans
• Represent the Band in fisheries and water management discussions
• Engage with community and cultural revitalization projects
