Language Teacher Substitute

Qualifications

• Certificate in Aboriginal Language Revitalization (Preference will be given to a Teachers Bachelor’s degree)
• Minimum 2 years of directly related experience
• An equivalent combination of education and experience
• Experience teaching individual and small group sessions
• Demonstrated interest in language revitalization
• Strong organizational and coordination skills
• Highly motivated and extremely organized
• Excellent interpersonal and effective communication skills
• Semi Fluent in the Language
• Good understanding and sound practice using Teams or Zoom
• Preferred experience creating language and culture theme lessons and age‑appropriate Kwak’wala early learning lessons
