Large Animal Agricultural Assistant Role

Join the University of Guelph as a Large Animal Agricultural Assistant in the Large Animal Hospital. This temporary full-time position focuses on husbandry care for various large animals while supporting a dynamic veterinary team.
This role requires a dedicated individual to provide comprehensive animal husbandry and care for teaching animals. You will work closely with clinicians, RVTs, and veterinary students while being cross-trained in various areas of the Health Sciences Centre. Responsibilities include monitoring animal health and assisting in critical care procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide husbandry care for large animals
• Monitor animal intake/output and specialized feeding
• Assist in walking, handling, and caring for patients
• Maintain inventory control and equipment logs
• Follow safety regulations and isolation protocols
Requirements:
• 2-year College Diploma in a related field
• 1 year of experience in a Small/Large Animal Clinic
