Job Description

Position Summary
NorWest Co-op Community Health is seeking a Lawyer to support our Family Violence and Prevention Programs. This role focuses on providing legal advice and consultations to individuals affected by family violence. The successful candidate will represent clients who are ineligible for Legal Aid Manitoba and will not take on clients under a Legal Aid certificate.
Education & Licensing
Bachelor of Law (LL.B.) degree, Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree or other equivalent degree

Active member in good standing with the Law Society of Manitoba
Qualifications & Experience
Minimum 5 years of experience in Family Law or Child Protection Law, specifically representing survivors of family violence.

Proven experience in litigation, providing legal advice, and court representation.

Strong commitment to a trauma-informed, client-centered approach.
