Lawyer (Freedom of Information)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Freedom of Information (FOI) Lawyer to join our Commonwealth Government client, based in Woden, ACT. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive legal advice on administrative law and FOI-related matters.

An initial labour hire contract until 30 June 2026 is on offer, with the possibility further extension.

This role is full time, and is available to candidates in Canberra, ACT. Remote or flexible working arrangements will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Duties:

• Assist in processing FOI requests, including drafting correspondence to external stakeholders, undertaking consultation, reviewing and marking up documentation and drafting decision letters
