Layout Environment Technical Director - Vancouver

Wētā FX is looking for experienced Layout Technical Directors to join our Layout team, working on high end feature film and VFX projects. Layout artists determine the position of the CG camera and block CG characters for shots of a VFX sequence, in addition to creating the CG environment from assets provided by Models. Layout artists consider a shot’s framing, composition, camera angle, camera path and movement, and the lighting requirements of each scene.

We are keen to hear from Layout TDs and Artists who are open to shorter, show-based contracts. These roles are expected to sit around six months in length, aligned to current production needs, with potential extension opportunities on upcoming shows.

This role will be performed onsite at Wētā FX’s Wellington hub. Ideally, you will already be based in Vancouver or be open to relocating, eligible to work in Canada, and available to start as soon as possible.
