Job Description

Reports to: Head Chef, Senior Head Chef, and OIC Branch Manager

Job Overview: An Assistant Head Chef assists in managing daily operations in the kitchen. He oversees and manages stock levels as well as supervises the kitchen staff during shifts. He oversees the food preparation process. He ensures that appropriate standards and hygiene are adhered to.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Controlling and directing the whole kitchen team in food preparation
  • Ensuring quality dishes before reaching the customer
  • Strictly following food preparation standard
  • Giving feedback to line cook when needed
  • Ensuring food ordering, stocking and inventory
  • Controlling and minimizing food wastage
  • Ensuring the whole kitchen team meets all the rules and regulation including sanitary and food and safety guidelines
