Lead - Direct Material - Procurement

Job Responsibilities

To support and manage procurement operations for direct materials including feeder parts, and raw materials, in a high-volume electronics manufacturing environment. The role focuses on ensuring timely material availability, cost optimization, and supplier performance to meet production targets.

• Assist in developing and executing procurement strategies for mass production materials.
• Ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials to avoid production delays.
• Coordinate with suppliers for order fulfillment, delivery schedules, and quality compliance.
• Support cost reduction initiatives through:
• Inventory optimization and control.
• Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) programs.
• Negotiation of extended payment terms and better commercial terms.
• Monitor supplier performance and maintain supplier scorecards.
