Job Description

LEAD HAND – Water & Sewer Construction 

EXPECTED START DATE: April 2026
 
WCL is looking for an experienced Lead Hand to support the foreman with day-to-day operations on our underground water and sewer crews. This role bridges the gap between the foreman and crew, keeping work safe, organized, and productive. 

WHAT YOU NEED:
3+ years experience in underground water and sewer construction.
Previous experience as a Foreman, Lead Hand, Topman or Pipelayer.
Strong understanding of pipe installation, line and grade, and trench operations.
Ability to coordinate labourers, pipe layers, and operators.
Comfortable directing work, solving problems, and keeping crews on task.
Solid knowledge of trench safety and site safety practices.
Able to communicate clearly with foremen and project supervision.
