Lead Medical Instrument Technician (EKG)

Summary The Lead Medical Instrument Technician participates testing and clinics as it relates to Cardiac Implanted Electronic Devices (CIED) clinic, placement and processing of short-term ambulatory cardiac monitors, electrocardiograms, stress testing including treadmill/arm ergometer and dobutamine stress testing as well as oversite of MUSE management. The person incumbent to this role understands when physicians need to be consulted immediately regarding urgent and critical findings. Responsibilities Electrocardiograms: Performs 12 Lead EKGs for inpatients and outpatients. Processes EKG tracings obtained and transmitted from Inpatient and Outpatient areas, clinics, correcting demographic errors, editing multiples, blanks and assigning tracings to Cardiologists (based on a schedule).
