Job Description

Strong knowledge of metallurgical principles for designing optimum alloy compositions, heat treatment cycles, and hot working sequences.
Ability to meet mechanical property requirements as per customer specifications and international codes/standards for heavy forgings used in critical applications.
2. Steel Making & Forging Experience
Hands-on experience with metallurgical aspects of steel making, hot forging sequences, and heat treatment for heavy forgings such as: ASME Sec IIA grade thick forgingsRotor forgings for power generationHeavy forgings for other engineering applications
3. Additional Material Knowledge
Exposure to non-ferrous and exotic materials will be an added advantage.
4. Failure Analysis
Proven track record in conducting failure analysis and root cause analysis for quality issues related to mechanical properties and internal soundness.
