Lead Project Engineer UK Switchgear Applications Engineering

Purpose of the job

The principal objective of the role is to be responsible for the engineering and management of all technical matters associated with 3rd Party Supplier (Major Bought Out) contracts and the integration of Powell engineered and manufactured product into a project delivered package solution.

Reporting to the Operations Director, key accountabilities in this role will be:
+ Receipt and initial review of the contract file, liaising with Project Manager, Estimating and Commercial Manager and Procurement Manager.
+ Undertake a thorough review of the contract file with the 3rd Party Supplier and Procurement, ensuring that the client requirements are understood by all parties and can be met technically and commercially. Advise any technical/commercial issues to the Project Manager.
+ Participate in the initial, interim and final design reviews with specific responsibility for the technical execution of the 3rd Party Packages.
