Reporting to the Manufacturing Engineering head, this post leads a team of engineers and technicians to oversee all activities relating to soldering process and machines including but not limited to the design, setup, qualify, implement and control of soldering process starting from new products to end of life products targeting zero soldering defects.
Other tasks like equipment maintenance and improvement, new processes and machines and technology identification and implementation, equipment and process standardization and consolidation are also critical areas he/she needs to take care of.
This soldering engineer should understand the principles behind and has hands on experience on all kinds of soldering processes, in particular but not limited to wave, reflow, selective nozzle, induction, hand and robotic soldering processes and machines, PCB design and DFM related to soldering, soldering materials like solder,...
