JOB SUMMARY

 To perform a broad variety of tests on equipment and manufactured parts to determine if engineering standards, customer specification & IEEE standards have been met. Prolec GE Waukesha produces primarily 3 phase power step down transformers. 

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary operating voltages range from 69kV to 230kV. This position encompasses performing the electrical tests to 1) verify the transformer controls: gauge, instrument and programmable controller operation and 2) transformer dielectric withstand and thermal capability. The controls testing involves employing VOMs and laptop computers to test circuit logic, instrument functionality and performance characteristics.
