About the Role

The Learner Support Specialist plays a key role in advancing learner success across the SFU School of Medicine by delivering strengths-based, culturally safe, and learner-centered academic support programming. Working within the Assessment & Learner Progress Unit, this position partners with learners, faculty, Indigenous Health Stewardship, Learner Affairs, and Student Services to support academic development, learner wellbeing, and progression across the continuum of medical education. As part of the School’s commitment to inclusive excellence and social accountability, the Learner Support Specialist will contribute to the development and implementation of innovative academic success initiatives, peer-support programs, learner coaching resources, and culturally responsive support strategies.
