Learning Support Assistant

(What the role is)

The Learning Support Assistant (SEN) provides direct learning and functional support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), enabling them to access the curriculum, develop vocational and work readiness skills, and build independence for successful transition into internship and employment. The role works closely with Student Care professionals and lecturers to support inclusive teaching and learning practices within ITE College Central.

• Provide direct in‑class and out‑of‑class learning support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), including support during theory/practical lessons and assessments.
• Support students in accessing learning content , including reinforcing instructions, describing verbal/visual content where required, and assisting with the use of assistive technology and accessible learning materials.
