Lecturer in Biology

Position Summary:
The Department of Biology in the College of Arts and Sciences at North Central College invites applications from broadly trained anatomy and physiology lecturer for a non tenure-track position to begin Fall 2026.

The duties in this role may include:


+ Primarily teaching in the 2-semester anatomy and physiology course sequence This will include both lecture and laboratory sections; some laboratory sections will be in the evening.

+ Occasional instruction in the non-major’s human biology course may be available.

+ Provide instruction for 24-credit hours per academic year

+ Utilize active, engaging pedagogies in the classroom

+ Hold office hours and be present on campus for considerable time each week

+ Mentor students in one-on-one and group interactions
