The Role
The School of Geography, Politics and Sociology seeks to appoint a fixed-term Lecturer (T&S) in Political Philosophy.
The Politics Unit in the School of Geography, Politics and Sociology is home to a diverse and friendly community of staff and students, committed to world-leading research and excellent, innovative teaching. We conduct interdisciplinary and diverse political philosophy research and teach political philosophy and political theory at all degree levels.
We are based in the refurbished Henry Daysh Building, bringing our school community closer together.
You will contribute to teaching on our undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. You will teach on our core Stage 2 UG module POL2090 ‘Equality, Diversity, & Inclusion: Social Issues in Contemporary Political Philosophy’, and provide crucial teaching capacity for team-taught modules, including POL8068 ‘The Moral Limits of the Market: Public Policy Projects’.
