Lecturer - jazz and contemporary voice

CORE PURPOSE OF JOB

The purpose of this academic post is to create, develop and facilitate the acquisition of musical knowledge and skills by individuals in order that they can function effectively within the music profession and as productive members of the broader society.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS To teach studio voice lessons in jazz and contemporary music and lead vocal ensembles. To accompany singing for individual singing and for vocal ensembles. To facilitate the learning and teaching in the department. To incorporate appropriate recording and sound technology in music teaching and performance. To conduct and publish research and/or produce appropriate performances and creative outputs. To perform academic and music engagement. To perform administration.
