Lecturer (p08) senior lecturer (p07): afrikaans (languages/linguistics)

Purpose

We seek to appoint a Senior Lecturer/Lecturer in Afrikaans (Language/Linguistics) in the Faculty of Humanities. The person should specialise in teaching at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The incumbent will be expected to undertake research and develop teaching programmes and capacity in their discipline within the Faculty of Humanities at Sol Plaatje University.

Minimum Requirements Lecturer A master’s degree (NQF level 9) in Afrikaans (Language/Linguistics), or cognate discipline. At least 2 years of relevant lecturing experience at a Higher Education institution. Evidence of Postgraduate supervision. Evidence of registration for a doctorate/Ph D. Demonstrate evidence in the form of publications in DHET-accredited journals, etc.; Evidence of research activity.
