Job Description

Position Details
We are looking for a Legal Assistant-Law Clerk to join our Legal team on a fixed-term contract basis with the contract end date of February .
What You Will Do 
To provide administrative and litigation support to in-house counsel

Opening and closing files

Preparing and filing litigation documents such as Notices of Examination, Affidavits of Service, Affidavits of Documents, Jury Notices, Motion Records, Notice to Defend, Statements of Defence, Trial Records, Responses to License Appeal Tribunal (“LAT”) Applications and LAT Case Conference Summaries

Filing documents with the court and LAT

Collecting answers to undertakings and organizing productions, preparation of document briefs and summarizing productions

Arranging examinations for discovery, examinations under oath, mediations and defence medical examinations
