Responsibilities

Reporting to the Associate General Counsel and Executive Director, Business Law, the Legal Counsel II specializes in intellectual property. Responsibilities include:

• Providing legal services and expertise to business, rights management, media components, and corporate services.
• Drafting, negotiating, and analyzing contracts related to copyright and other IP matters (content acquisition, distribution, contests, advertising, media buying, etc.).
• Advising CBC/Radio-Canada business units and senior executives on IP legal issues such as fair dealing and copyright infringement.
