Fairstone Bank is looking for an experienced Legal Counsel to join its in-house legal team. Reporting directly to the Director of Legal, this position will see you working with various business units to ensure legal risks are managed effectively. Key activities include the drafting of contracts and advising on compliance with consumer lending regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support product owners with strategic legal insights
• Review and negotiate consumer lending contracts
• Guide teams on federal and provincial legal requirements
• Function as the primary legal resource for business lines
• Oversee special projects as needed
Requirements:
• Juris Doctor or LLB degree required
