Legal Counsel, Senior

My client an educational institution is looking for a legal professional to join its Legal Division as Senior Legal Counsel. This is a senior managerial level role.
This role supports the Director of Legal in providing strategic legal guidance on all legal issues for the institution, including but not limited to shaping legal strategies, providing in-house advice, monitoring statutory and legal compliance and reporting, drafting and vetting of legal contracts, oversight over company secretarial functions, as well as work with peers and management on risk matters across the organisation.
The position offered will be commensurate with the experience of the candidate.
Key Responsibilities
Provide timely and practical risk-based legal advice within the organisation's constraints on a wide range of issues to the business units, including contractual review, personal data protection, legal training, litigation management, risk management and procurement matters.
