Job Description
Mino Obigiwasin is an Anicinape organization established to provide services to children and families, under a delegation agreement signed with the Integrated Health and Social Services Center of Abitibi-Témiscamingue for four Anicinape communities: Kitcisakik, Lac Simon, Pikogan (Abitibiwinni), and Long Point (Winneway). The vision of Mino Obigiwasin is to ensure that all Anicinape children and families have a stable, safe, happy living environment rooted in culture.
The band councils of the participating communities have mandated Mino Obigiwasin to carry out the necessary work to develop an Anicinape Law that reflects the values, practices, and realities of their communities. A working team, the Anicinape Inakonigewin team, has been created to develop this project. This team operates under the supervision of the organization’s executive director.
