What you'll do

The primary purpose of the Licensed Practical Nurse, Charge is to evaluate and direct nursing care of residents on a particular nursing care unit.
+ Integrate the philosophy and objectives of the Nursing Home and the Nursing Department into the management of nursing care.
+ Initiates plan of care:
+ Assign resident care in accordance with resident need and to the abilities of the staff members assigned to the unit.
+ Observes the residents physiological and psychological behavior and notifies the NCC of any concerns and documents observations in the resident’s medical records.
